Much to the delight of her devoted fans, ‘Add to Me’ singer Ledisi has added a second live album to her prized discography.
Coming nearly 14 years after her first smaller live effort, 2007’s ‘Ledisi & Anibade Live Recordings Vol. 1,’ the new release – titled ‘Ledisi Live at the Troubadour.’ – comes as her first full length solo live jaunt.
A career-spanning set of performances that sees the powerhouse put refreshed spins on some of her most beloved tunes including ‘Alright,’ ‘Pieces of Me,’ ‘I Blame You,’ and even her latest fan favorite, ‘Anything For You’ (which snagged the previous 13x nominee her first GRAMMY at this year’s ceremony), hop inside to hear how Ledisi rocked the famed Hollywood Venue with her greatest hits.
I’m just now getting into her and I’m mad about it I feel bad about that. I been listening to Queen Led for a few months and I am VERY impressed by her. I like what she stands for and I love what she chooses to sing about. She is not w the bull and I see why she isn’t mainstream. Her music is wayyyyy too positive and her music definently isn’t for everyone (esp the ghetto). If you are in love, want to feel love, want some respect, if you want to feel that loveable “high” Queen Led is it. Majority of her songs is a bop esp that “High” “Higher Than This” “Alright” “Stay Together” (feat Jaheim) and “Anything For You” will ALWAYS be on rotation on any of my PLs
